Naomi Watts seemingly appeared out of no where to most people, even though she was first recognized for her role in the box office hit The Ring, Watts has been around quite a bit longer than that. Her film roles date as far back as 1986, but most of her older films were flops no one has ever heard of.

Interesting Tidbits:
- She once appeared in an Australian television commercial turning down a date with Tom Cruise for her mum's lamb roast.

- Best friends with Nicole Kidman, since a casting call for commercial when they were girls.

She's a very talented actress, and her new stuff is great, if you watch any of her older films you might be a little disappointed because her acting is rather corny. Watts is very good at emotional roles, personally my favorites are The Ring and The Painted Veil, where she truly shows her acting chops.
