Born: August 2, 1949 in Hartfield, England
Hammer film(s): Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970); The Vampire Lovers (1970); Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell (1974)
Other notable roles: Up Pompeii (1971); Live and Let Die (1973)
The cover model of the latest Hammer book Hammer Glamour Madeline Smith unlike most of the Hammer woman is not usually known for her three Hammer films but more for her typecast roles as a "comedy crumpet". Never receiving much acting training Madeline looks back at her Hammer appearances as probably some of her best performances after quitting acting in the mid 1980's. Madeline admits a lot of her acting career was based on the size of her breasts stating in the 1970's she was beginning to find her life very superficial being unhappy, untrained and not seeing her career capable of advancing much further. Today it's said she looks upon her Hammer experience with fond memories and that overall she's quite happy with her life and career. Personally Madeline would be low on my list of the top women of Hammer. I wasn't entirely impressed with her performance in The Vampire Lovers, and physically I don't find her that attractive compared to the slew of other Hammer women.
Hotness Rating: 8/10
I think Madeline is attractive, she's just not my personal type, maybe it was more her juvenile character in The Vampire Lovers that kind of turned me off.
Acting Rating: 5/10
I wasn't that impressed with her acting or her character in The Vampire Lovers, but I still have a few more Hammer films of hers to watch.
Average Hammer Film Rating: 8/10
As I've already stated a few times, The Vampire Lovers is a good horror pic, Madeline's role was the one that least impressed me.

Hmmmm....for some reason these lovely Hammer women remind me of the ladies in Russ Meyer's films. Now why would that be.....?
